Brandi Collins-Dexter
Brandi (she/her) is a writer, activist and researcher. She is currently a visiting fellow at Harvard Kennedy School’s Shorenstein Center on Media, Politics and Public Policy.
Brandi is the author of Black Skinhead: Reflections on Blackness and Our Political Future which explores the fragile alliance between Black voters and the Democratic party through a series of essays that span Brandi’s experiences. The book is slated to publish in the Fall 2022 and is available to pre-order now.
Brandi was named a 2017 “person to watch” by The Hill and one of the 100 most influential African Americans by The Root in 2019. Brandi comes from a long line of South Side Chicagoans and currently lives in Baltimore.
